ZOMG! THE END!

I see the light......Nah....I am so glad this is over! Well my favorite parts were connecting my personality into each and every blog post! I liked the Youtube one the best because that is one of my favorite videos I love laughing at youtube videos! I also liked the Web Things videos for the anime event, I was there!!!! What I didn't like was constantly creating accounts, getting confused at RSS feeds, and having to read a lot of stuff! But in the end it was all good! =] Thanks for teaching me!

Listen NJ

A very fun and easy way to download books to your iPod or MP3 because its easier for me to listen to a book instead of reading one. I like to listen to them before I go to bed =] It's like a book on a CD but better! I'll tell everyone in school about it!

J-Talk (podcasts)

http://podcast.com/show/3979/

Well I like Japanese culture so i decided to look that up and this audio podcast talks about learning to speak and read Japanese. I found it funny.

Furby Gone Wrong? (Youtube)

We all know and love the adorable Furby dolls of the 1990's, you know the ones your kids begged you to buy and then annoyed the living crap outta you after you got them one? Yeah that was the good old times when I was a kid. I begged for one and then after I got one it got really annoying to the part where I have a certain HATE for the little furry things. So this is a video you might enjoy on youtube: Furby gets microwaved. Enjoy! (cause you know i did!)

Web 2.0 Awards =]

I picked GAMES because EVERYONE PLAYS GAMES! and aren't we all a kid at heart when it comes to games?

I would like to use this category I picked because I love to play games online, it gives me something to do when im bored =] Thanks GAMES!

Google Docs

Google Docs was a very understandable document. It looked just like word! I believe it will make things much easier for the library if we used it for such things like posting program information. It can help us all put our ideas and inputs into the programs. It will definitely help me when I get my anime club started again in June, I could post stuff up there and people in the club can come and access the information at anytime, helping the club stay connected. Thanks Google Docs! =]

I like the Professional section where they listed "Looking for a Job" it's very resourceful =]I also enjoyed the programming, it keeps you updated on programs. To be quite honest I did not spot the change on sparks the dragon's color. =[ oh well i can go back to it sometime to look at it, for now I MOVE ON!

Library 2.0 stuff

I read two perspectives of the five:
In the site titled "Away from iceburgs" it talks about there being a possibility of having patrons being able to access everything- I quote "As a Web 2.0 reality continues to emerge and develop, our patrons will expect access to everything – digital collections of journals, books, blogs, podcasts, etc. You think they can’t have everything? Think again. This may be our great opportunity."

In the site titled "To a temporary place in time" it talks about libraries in the past and present and how they have changed and will continue to change...

I quote from the site:
"What are libraries? Libraries are not just collections of documents and books, they are conversations, they are convocations of people, ideas, and artifacts in dynamic exchange. Libraries are not merely in communities, they are communities: they preserve and promote community memories; they provide mentors not only for the exploration of stored memory, but also for the creation of new artifacts of memory. What was the library of the past? A symbol of a society that cared about its attainments, that treasured ideas, that looked ahead multiple generations. Librarians were stewards, trainers, intimate with the knowledge base and the minds who produced it. Librarians today are not just inventory management biobots: they are people with a unique understanding of the documents they compile and catalog, and the relationships among those documents."

To be quite honest I thought the two topics were pretty boring to me, that was my insight on them. I have very wierd views about things! =/

Thing #14 - Getting not-so-technical with Technorati

On the popular stuff on this site, I found links to Facebook, something Titled Boing Boing, myspace, and american idol links...I want to read more!

Delicious

Not as delicious as cake, but this website is very useful for accessing sites from many places quicker! It can help me to do homework and research papers! Thanks Delicious! http://delicious.com

Net Library

Net Library can be used by keywords to find e-books. I kind of figured out how to use it, you can't go by book title or author's name. You have to go by subject in the search. If I was doing a project it could be useful for the subject. I could help others using this site as well, it's not as hard as it looks.

That Library Thang

Blog about your use of LibraryThing. Be sure to link to your LibraryThing catalog on your blog. How popular were your books? Did you find any discussions about your favorites?

The Books on my list were pretty popular, the most popular however was "The Perks Of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky It was a good book! My favorite book however was rated 2nd most favorited and is "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" By Rachel Cohn and David Levithan.

Technology - IPODS!!! O_O

IPODS MAKE THE WORLD GO ROUND! YOU WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART MR.IPOD <3>
I absolutely love IPODS, I think they are the best thing that has come out since laptops and cell phones! I only wish I had one! =]

Displayed Here on the right you can see a cool blue IPod Nano. This Ipod can only play music and games.

And to your left the Apple Ipod Classic. It's cool and black! The one that holds the most memory! This Ipod can play it all, music, games and movies, it's just the fact that it's huge and costs more!

Last But not least, the Ipod my sister has. The newest Ipod Nano, shaped like a square, this Ipod nano can not only play music but can play movies and games too like the classic but it's smaller, more convenient for the road! It's travel size!!! I think this one's the best buy because you get everything in it and it's so small you can stick it in your pocket and no one would know it's there! (The classic leaves a buldge in your pocket making you look fatter.)

Ipods are AMAZING they can come in different shapes and sizes, multiple colors, and hold so many MegaBytes!

NOW THAT YOU KNOW THE BASICS, DON'T YOU WANT AN IPOD TOO?

Thing # 9 RSS Feeds Continued - Finding Feeds

RSS FEEDS - VERY HARD!

You know I really didn't undertand RSS feeds. But I got my branch manager to help me through the process. Thanks Sue. Anyways It was an interesting lesson, it's very useful and I don't ever want to use one again!

Thank you.

Flickr---Interesting Image

To be quite honest I am blogging about this photo because I found it to be very peculiar. Well to start off the girl on the left has pink hair, is it usual in Japan for people to have random pink hair? Another thing I found interesting about this photo was that the girls were tan. I don't know if it's just me or not but I always thought that Japanese people were pale, very fair skinned and not tan at all, that's kinda why I found this strange. Other than that they look like they are the popular snobby type that are mean to your face and I really liked the colors in the photo. =] Well that's all I have to say about this one. Below is the link I found this at if you're wondering.

7 and 1/2 lifelong learning habits

OkayI just watched the video on 7 and 1/2 lifelong learning habits. I think that the hardest habit for me is Viewing problems as challenges, the reason is because most of the time I view a problem as a problem I have to deal with not something that is generally a challenge I can beat. The easiest habit for me is probably Using technology to my advantage. I use technology everyday because I am a young techchie-nerd-girl and I know how to use google.com and other websites for resources and I am constantly playing video games and using Technology to my advantage everyday. Without technology who would create the dishwasher I use to wash my dishes everyday?

OCL Webthings Challenge

Alright this is Robyn from the Berkeley Branch of the Ocean County Library I am a shelver and I have taken on the challenge! Bring it on! Huzzah!
